Licenses & Attributions
MockStar's question bank, sample answers, guides, and tool templates are original content written for this site and are © MockStar. This page tracks third-party sources and their licenses as the question bank grows.
Current status
All 120 questions in the current bank are marked source: 'original' —
written in-house, with no third-party text reproduced. No external attributions are
currently required.
Third-party sources policy
As the bank expands, some questions may be adapted from permissively licensed open-source material. Our sourcing rules:
- MIT-licensed sources (e.g. yangshun/tech-interview-handbook)
may be adapted with attribution. Any adapted item is recorded in the question bank with
source: 'mit-adapted'and asourceReflink, and listed on this page. - ShareAlike-licensed sources (e.g. CC-BY-SA repositories) are not used, because the share-alike clause is incompatible with a commercial content site.
- Sources without a license are treated as all-rights-reserved: never copied, at most used as an index to find original material to rewrite ourselves.
- Sample answers are substantive creative work and are always written or fully rewritten in-house, then human-reviewed before publication.
